What the heck??

I got a catalog in the mail today. It's called "catalog favorites". I thought, ok...the kids are down for naps. I'll browse through it. Holy crap! It totally made my day! Who buys this crap? NOT me (well, I did want to buy a couple for White Elephant gifts)! Here are just a few of the over 130 "new favorite gifts" I had to choose from. You have to keep in mind that these are from the SAME catalog. The description of the items was hilarious. Here are just a few of my favorites. "You'll be one cool chick with this unique purse". Yea...but does it lay eggs? "Our cute bear has an affectionate butterfly on his nose! Squeeze his paw - he sings 'Butterfly kisses', his head sways, mouth moves and the wings flap". Wasn't that song bad enough? Finger drums? Finder drums? Come on! "It has a built in recorder and playback buttons". Steve, didn't you always wanted to play the drums? What is a pole dancing kit doing in the same catalog as a cross that says "When I stand before God...I would hope that I would have not a single bit of talent left and could say 'I used everything you gave me'." Ummm...I'm pretty sure that's NOT one of the talents God had in mind. There was even a race track that you could race grannies in wheel chairs. "Watch out Granny - she's a speed demon!" Or how about the Life vest vine bottle cover? "It's a great converstaion piece for parties...The realistic quilted fabric fits over a standard wine bottle and secures with a plastic snap-buckle closure and ribbon tie". Conversation piece?
