Families Are FOREVER

The Family Proclamation says "The divine plan of happiness enables family relationships to be perpetuated beyond the grave. Sacred ordinances and covenants available in holy temples make it possible for individuals to return to the presence of God and for families to be united eternally." We explained to our children tonight that because my husband and I were married in the temple we are a forever family. When we die our marriage is not over. It is forever. So for our activity we went to a cemetary and did grave rubbings. I grabbed a box of crayons and some blank paper. Each of us chose a color and peeled our crayons. Then each of us laid our paper on a grave stone and rubbed the crayon back and forth to get an imprint of it.

He wanted to get in those sprinklers so badly but I told him no.My son found this grave that needed some cleaning. It looked like the wind had knocked over these vases and the glass marbles were everywhere. He started picking up the pieces and putting them back. My daughter helped too!
