Online Protection for Kids

I once tried an internet "safety" software years ago and I hated it.  It blocked the most innocent of websites saying they had nudity and such.  I canceled it after it blocked ready.gov because of the "adult" content.  Do you know what that website is?  It helps US citizens prepare for disasters.  Nudity?  I don't think so.
I've been hesitant to try anything until now!

Trend Micro Online Guardian is awesome!  I received a free year from Buzz Agent.  And I promise you that once my year expires I will renew in a heart beat.  It's worth every penny spent, I promise.  If you have kids that use the internet listen up...
This is what you get from Trend Micro...

How can Trend Micro™ Online Guardian for Families help give you the information you need to protect your kids against Internet dangers?
  • Set online time limits and make daily use schedules
  • Block websites by specific categories
  • Prevent sensitive data like passwords and credit card info from being sent out
  • View comprehensive online and monthly email activity reports
  • Set individual profiles for up to 5 children
  • Monitor activities on Facebook and MySpace, regardless of privacy settings
  • Monitor instant messaging/chats on Yahoo! and MSN
  • View reports and manage activities anytime via a web browser
  • See all uploaded/viewed videos and pictures on YouTube and Flickr
  • Password for parents to temporarily turn off monitoring and content filtering
  • Track keywords searched and sites visited
I set up accounts for all 3 of my children, including my 4 year old.  I have true peace of mind because I can not only monitor their activity on the internet, I can set limits to how much time they actually get to use the internet!
Each of my children have a unique log in when they use the internet.  Trend Micro keeps track of the time that they spend and when they reach that limit no more for them!  I love that.
