Mother Nature's Object Lesson

Tonight's fireside was amazing. I have the amazing opportunity to perform with Jenny Phillips. We performed our fireside tonight in Saratoga Springs. Jenny talks about remembering why we are here on earth and how important it is not to forget! She was speaking at the end about trusting the Savior and that if we put our trust in Him we will be happy. She was also talking about being valiant and that we chose The Lord's Plan. Satan's followers didn't. They will never know joy. Satan and his followers are trying to get us to follow them so we can be miserable just like they are. All of a sudden Mother Nature gave us the most powerful object lessons I've ever heard. The sky opened and it hailed and rained HARD. I had never heard anything quite so loud. People started looking around at each other wondering what was going on.

Jenny started talking about the storm and that it was like the storm that Satan is making on earth. It was loud and terrifying just like the world right now. Jenny said that she prayed that the storm would end and immediately it did. I thought of how peaceful it now was and then I thought of the Savior. He brings peace to our souls and our lives. I am on the Lord's side. It might not be very popular in the world's eye but I really don't care. I will take the Lord's side on every matter!

After the fireside Steve and I drove to our friend's house to pick up our son. The sun was starting to set and it was peeking through the clouds. The storm still raged around us but there was a little light. It's how Christ works. He is our light in this stormy, stormy world. He is always there for us. Pray to Him. God wants to know our struggles and our worries. Thank Him for the good things in life. I know that he hears every prayer uttered to Him. It doesn't matter our religion, gender, race, etc. He loves us. I know that. I am a child of God and so are you. Pray to Him. He will let you know too!
