Healing Field

Every year the city of Sandy, UT puts up flags in rememberace of the attacks on our country on September 11th (one flag for every person killed that day). We have gone each year to remember and to think about those people who died that day and those that have given their lives to fight terrorism. It's always an emotional day for me. I am so grateful for the brave men and women who are fighting the fight for us while I'm at home reading stories to my children. I love them and will honor them always. I will not take them for granted. I went to high school with a soldier who was killed in Afganistan on Christmas day last year. Please remember the soldiers and their families in your prayers. They sacrifice so much so that we can stay home, go to work, hang out with our families, and have our freedoms. Please don't ever forget why we have our freedoms.

He salutes! I love this shot. He didn't know I took it. It sums up how I was feeling that day. It was very somber to be there and see the flags.

This is cool...so hard to remember and to relive these events but we should never forget!
