Family holds memorial service for Akayla Ferguson
This week has been one of the hardest weeks I've ever had. I've wanted to blog about the whole experience but I just haven't had the energy to. Last Tuesday my best friend found out that her 2 year old niece was killed in a terrible and tragic accident in a driveway. I rushed to her side and haven't left it since. There have been so many miracles that I have witnessed first hand this week while the family prepared for the funeral. I know that Akayla is with Heavenly Father and Jesus again. And she is happy!
I had the honor of attending the funeral yesterday for Akayla and participating in the services. I played the piano while my friends sang, I am a Child of God (Akayla's favorite song). The Spirit was so strong. And I know that families can be together FOREVER. Death is not the end for us. It's really just the beginning of our eternal lives. We will probably never know why God needed to call her home at this time. We just have to have the faith that is was His will.
The family is needing donations to help cover funeral and medical expenses. There is a link in the article.
