5 on Friday..I mean Sunday

I just got home from a really fun trip!  My daughter and I went up to Idaho to hang out with my Mom and sister for the weekend.  I didn't have a chance to blog while I was up there.  I literally just walked in the door and this is the first thing I am doing!  Oh happy blogging day!

First I have to say that this week blew chunks.  It was one of the worst ones I've had in a VERY long time.

Top 5 for the week

1.  My daughter and I took off for a girls' weekend away.

2.  My Mom treated all of the girls to pedicures.  I ended up getting aqua blue toes with black tiger stripes.  Grrrr...

3.  My sister is a Paul Mitchell beauty school student.  She cut my hair and she cut my daughter's hair.  She also gave my daughter a weave.  It's all so cute!  I can't wait to post pictures.  She's amazing and I know that she'll go FAR in the industry.

4.  We took tons more stuff to the thrift store this week.  Goodbye junk.

5.  We made it home safe and sound from Idaho.

Bottom 5 (It might be more than 5...just sayin'...It's been a terrible week)

1.  My husband and I got into a little spat.  It ended up turning into a huge spat.

2.  I ended up getting a pretty nasty email from my sister in-law.  I wasn't happy at all.  She has NO clue what is going on and she thinks she does.  She said that she wrote the email out of love and that the truth hurts.  There was no truth to that email.  I was accused of some pretty horrible things that aren't true in the least.

3.  I have never cried so hard or for so many days as I have this last week.  I was made to feel like the world's biggest failure as a wife.  Like I said, this has been a TERRIBLE week.

4.  We still haven't caught that mouse but we haven't heard him or seen him.

5.  I saved the worst for last.  Drum roll please...my father in-law called my Dad about me.  He told my Dad that he needed to stay out of our business.  WHAT???  Isn't that a bit hypocritical?  Want to know what's funny about this?  My Dad had NO clue that my husband and I had gotten in a fight.  My father in-law told my Dad all sorts of things like...did you know that your daughter doesn't iron my son's shirts?  Did you know that your daughter likes to go thrift shopping and has cluttered up their garage?  Did you know that they are having money issues?  Yea...I'm NOT making this up.  He really did that.  Both my father in-law and sister in-law claimed that I'm back to my "old ways."  Ummm...OK.  They don't know JACK SQUAT.

I have to defend myself right now.  I am not a perfect wife.  The house gets messy.  The dishes don't get done sometimes.  And, yes, I don't iron shirts.  My husband grew up with a mom and dad that put Ozzie and Harriet to shame.  I grew up in a home where my Dad was perfectly capable of ironing his own shirts.  I am no Harriet.  I am Tami...flawed but fun!  And I will never apologize for being me.

No one is perfect, but in your imperfection I've never seen a man speak about a woman as your husband does for you! Just keep being you guys and screw the rest of them.

I learned a valuable lesson a few boyfriends back-never tell your parents when you and your significant other fight-they'll hold onto it long after you're over it. Better telling someone that knows and loves you both, and can understand it's just venting and not that the other is a horrible person.

Glad for the good things, your toes sound adorable!

Hang in there, Tami! You can do it! I don't iron my husband's shirts either!

Your weekend with Addison sounds awesome. :) Makes me kinda wish that I had a daughter to do cool things like that.

Sorry for the drama, though. That really stinks. But, you're awesome. We all fight with our spouses at sometime, and I don't iron either.
