First K12 Field Trip

I was really excited to take my daughter and son on a field trip for school.  We went to Thanksgiving Point Museum of Ancient LifeWe hadn't been there before.  I was blown away.  It was really cool!  I want to go back without my 4 year old though so I can really spend some time looking and reading about what is there.  He just wanted to run from display to display.  If you are ever visiting Utah this is a must see!
See how amazing this is?  The little sand pit was the best!  But sadly, I was the only mom to take off my shoes and play with my kids.  We took brushes and "excavated" some bones.  SO FUN!  Did you see how BIG that sea turtle was?  And how about that shark?  Could you imagine the San Jose Sharks skating out from that thing?  Oh yeah!  And that petrified lightening?  Who knew?  I can NOT wait to go back again and again.  I really do feel so lucky to live so close to such amazing things.

I LOVE their Museum of Ancient Life. It's incredible. We went when Gavin was just a baby and it was awesome. SO fun. We have pictures of the shark eating Brandon's head. :)

And, it would have been fun to get in the sand pit with my kids, but it was SO packed with other kids when we went that I just sat and watched. I'd love to go back again, though.
