It's hard having a sick kid. I hate panicking at the slightest tummy ache or pain of any kind. On Saturday we went to a Hope Kids movie. They always celebrate the mile stones of the Hope Kids. We clapped and cheered for a little boy who has gone a whole entire year without needing to go to the hospital. That was definitely worth cheering for. I can't wait for the day we can celebrate that with Carter.
This week he got the stomach flu and it knocked him out! The flu would knock us out for a couple of days but it can be fatal for Carter. He almost ended up back in the hospital.
He's back on antibiotics and irrigations. He has to take his meds every 6 hours. So that means getting up in the middle of the night to give it to him. Are you jealous?
I can't wait for the day we can celebrate; no more surgeries, regular poops, no meds, no irrigations, etc. I can't wait for him to be a normal little boy.
Go hug your healthy kids!

This too shall pass. I feels like it will never end right now, but soon you will realize that Carter has gone through five years of being normal and you'll wonder where the tim went. hang in there.
