Fall Topiary - Make Your Own

I'm slacking no more in the craft department. I forgot how much I LOVE to make things for my home. Did you see the post about my thrift store makeover? I hung it in my kitchen and will take a picture of it when I finally get the knobs.
I love topiaries. Growing up I would watch my mom make the most beautiful floral arragements and I knew I wanted to learn how to make them too. I made this topiary yesterday and I'm so happy with how it turned out. I first hot glued the foam into the bottom of the pot. Then I broke a dowel in half and stuck that into the foam. I hot glued that in also. After that I stuck that foam ball on top and yep, glued that in too. I decided that I wanted to spray paint the form so I painted it a metalic terra cotta color. I went to Joann's craft store and bought the leaves and fall picks. I cut everything apart and started sticking the leaves in first. I built a good base of leaves and then added the accents.

I added spanish moss around the bottom of the pot and then stuck in a pick of leaves and some of the other items. The finished product. I LOVE it.
