Trying to Keep the Faith

Life is hard right now.  I've started this post several times now.  I am doing everything I know how to keep my spirits up.  I count my blessings.  I read my scriptures.  I pray.  Yet I still continue to struggle to keep a smile on my face.

It's ok!  We all feel like this from time to time.  This is what life is all about, right?  We struggle and we learn.

Here's what I've learned through a job loss, a chronically ill child, a dead car, etc....

God never leaves our side.  It sure feels like it sometimes though.  But He is always there!

Angels are by our side.  They are up there rooting for us and cheering us on.  I know it.

People are good!  I have amazing friends!

It is important to manage money wisely.  It's even more important to be frugal and truly live within your means.

Miracles still happen today!

It's OK if I can't buy that cute hand bag.  Life goes on!

It's OK to let go of anger.  It does more harm than good.  I was so tired of being angry at things that were beyond my control.

It's nice to be nice.

Exercise is a better stress reliever than food.

It's OK to nap!

It's OK to go to the library every other day and get a couple of new books, magazines or movies.  It's like shopping for free!

There are judgmental people out there and that's just fine.  It will come back to bite them in the butt later!  I can't focus on what they think about me or my family!

There are TONS of free activities to do in the area you live in!

It's OK to cut long sleeves off of shirts for summer!  It's even better to cut jeans and turn them into shorts!

I have learned so many other important life lessons through the past few months.

Yes, life is very hard right now.  And yes, I totally complain about it sometimes.  I'm human.  But I'm trying to a better human a long the journey.

It's a wise and empowered person who can see past the pain and tears into the heart of wisdom.
*hugs*

Do let us know if we can help at all. I'm happy to send (slightly used) clothing, books, crafts, etc to keep you positive, or to bring a smile to your little boy's face.

And always, of course: This, too, shall pass.
